Scuba Schools International (SSI) training programs
Scuba Schools International (SSI) is a global scuba diving training organization, well respected for its high standards and wide range of training programs for all levels of divers.
Here’s an overview of the main training programs offered by SSI and CAP Port-Vendres:
Recreational diving courses
- Try Scuba: An introductory diving program for beginners, offering a first experience of diving in a pool or natural environment under the supervision of an instructor.
- Open Water Diver: The basic course for beginners, including theory modules, pool sessions and open water dives. It enables divers to be certified to dive to a depth of 18 meters.
- Advanced Adventurer: This course enables Open Water certified divers to discover different diving specialties. It includes five adventure dives in different disciplines, such as night diving, deep diving, underwater navigation, etc.
Diving programs for young divers
- SSI Junior Open Water Diver: Designed for young divers (aged 10 to 14), this program offers child-friendly training, with specific depth limits and supervision requirements.
Recreational diving specialties
Scuba Schools International (SSI) offers a wide range of specialties for divers wishing to broaden their skills and knowledge in various areas of diving.
SSI programs are distinguished by their flexibility, online teaching resources, and a focus on safety and enjoyment of diving. SSI also uses the “SSI Total Teaching System” concept, which integrates teaching materials, applications and videos to facilitate learning.
Enrolment in all our courses does not imply compulsory level validation.
